Airbnb Belong: Google Venture Design Sprint Exercise

An old classmate of mine, Xander Pollock left Google and decided to teach a class about Google Venture Design Sprints. I was able to catch up with a friendly product designer who previously worked on Inbox and added a few more tricks to my product design toolbox. In the class I prototyped an Airbnb mobile app focused on the guest experience. If Airbnb is reading this, I have a few learnings I'd like to share! :)

MoneyStream Mobile App Revamp: Pivot Towards Mobile-First Paradigm

At MoneyStream we set out to create a revamped mobile experience. MoneyStream helped its users manage their money. Aggregating online bank and bill data we sought to empower our users with clarity and insight. We worked with users to envision their ideal money management assistant in co-design sessions. Users wanted an app to replace their klugdey spreadsheet that sat on their PC. Users wanted an assistant that was smart and nonjudgemental. Users wanted an app they could check Friday after work and see how much they could enjoy themselves over the weekend. I designed information cards to gave users bite sized information applicable to their context. I designed a MoneyStream Timeline™ to replace the onerous spreadsheet. Users loved it.

MoneyStream Tinder for Bills: Organize Bills and Chill?

Riffing off the popular dating app, I sought a solution to have our users sort through what our system tagged as bills. This was very important for user satisfaction, as users would complain about errant bills on their calendar.

Welcome to MoneyStream: Easing Strangers Into Giving Us Their Bank Credentials

Some users were downloading our mobile app without context of what we did. Naturally, we required online bank credentials for our service to work. Naturally, some users declined and left nasty reviews. I created animated slides to describe the benefits of MoneyStream and that connecting your bill accounts made sure we had correct data.

Norton Metro: Letting Users Customize Their Protection

The Norton Team at Symantec had a vision for a product that was configurable to the customer's needs. The project was code named Metro. The user would be able to configure the amount of licenses and online storage. Working in ecommerce, I worked on how to purchase this premium product.

Norton Landing Pages: Evolving Ecommerce

Symantec's Ecommerce Department is top-notch in learning about its customers. I worked with store managers around the globe to create store pages tailored to their regions. Pages were constantly tested and optimized for conversions.

Thank you for taking a look at my work!
